Stone dragon scale mail is a type of magical body armor that appears in UnNetHack, DynaHack and SlashTHEM. It is made of dragon hide like all dragon scale mail.
Generation
Stone dragon scale mail is not randomly generated, though it can be wished for or found in bones - in UnNetHack and DynaHack, wishes for magical items are restricted to a wand of wishing.
Reading a non-cursed scroll of enchant armor that targets worn stone dragon scales will convert them into stone dragon scale mail, with a blessed scroll adding a point of enchantment.
Non-monk player monsters generated on the Astral Plane have a chance of generating with stone dragon scale mail as their initial body armor before role-specific replacements.
Description
While worn, stone dragon scale mail confers 9 base AC and stoning resistance. Uncontrolled polymorph while wearing stone dragon scale mail will revert them to scales and turn the wearer into a dragon:
- In UnNetHack and DynaHack, the wearer will turn into the corresponding dragon that has been randomized to appear as a stone dragon.
- In SlashTHEM, the wearer will turn into a stone dragon.
