I'm an old programmer and gamer thinking Nethack is the best game ever. Period.

I never ascended in almost 30 years, even though I'm spoiled as hell. My self-esteem forbids me to conclude that I'm stupid, and I don't think bad luck has something to do with it. I think it's my way of playing games in general and my inability to focus on long term objectives. I just like to have fun whatever I do (programming, gaming, ...) and finishing something sounds like the end of it (now THAT is stupid I know).
