The amulet of guarding is an amulet that augments AC and magic cancellation. It may be worn by monsters that happen upon one, but they will prefer an amulet of life saving or amulet of reflection.
Identification
The amulet always auto-identifies when worn due to its effect on AC.
Effects
While worn, the amulet provides -2 AC and augments magic cancellation by 2, similar to a ring of protection. When eaten, it may provide 2 intrinsic protection subject to the usual limits, but does not affect magic cancellation.
