Changes include rebalancing wands, bug fixes, the monster AI using more items and more consistently, and monster extrinsics/intrinsics being consistent with players (hooray for very fast [[Archon]]s and [[stoning]] being a delayed instadeath?).

The variant is currently not in any stable form (it is pretty much in a prealpha stage) and trying it out at the moment is discouraged unless you are feeling adventurous.

A nethack variant based on NetHack4. Changes include, but is not limited to:

  • Wands has been rebalanced
  • Monsters now cast player spells instead of monster spells
  • A greatly improved monster AI with regards to item use and spellcasting, slight improvements elsewhere as well
  • Players can now be slowed and/or cancelled
  • Monsters can now be displaced
  • Sliming and petrification is now delayed instadeaths for monsters isntead of instant
