My gremlin named Gaston took a plunge in the fountain in Minetown and is ganging up against the guards. This is extremely cool to watch! It takes several lifts to move them all up and down but definitely worth the effort.
I am all for pets now!

No. In fact, what happened is that my dog became gremlin and started bathing in the fountain, cloning itself. The horde of gremlins became a bit cumbersome after a while, specially after going through the Oracle. So pet gremlins have some drawbacks.
But the guard, no, they did not mind when the fountain dried out.
