In the Gnomish mines I find a wand of wishing, somewhere (don't know when I picked it up.

Used two wishes to get the two pieces of armor I like best, gray dragon scale mail, for sure.

Get to Mine's End and find a Red Dragon and a baby Red Dragon, so I start looking for the Polymorph trap, even if it can't hurt me now....

Kill the dragons and start eating them to get heat resistance....

See the message "You begin to eat the chameleon...."

Grey Dragon Scale mail won't protect you when you do that....
