"The preist of Venus gets angry! Venus roars: "Thou dost profane my shrine! The bolt of lightning hits you! Your short wand breaks apart and explodes! Your agate ring turns to dust and vanishes! You are blinded by the flash! The bolt of lightning bounces! The death ray hits it. It kicks! Something casts a spell at you! You are frozen in place! It hits! You die..."

Mid-Level Orcish Ranger doing a take over of the Minetown altar. Zapped the priest with a wand of death. Needless to say, that was the end of the game. I had over a hundred hit point for god's sake. What the hell killed me?
