I was thinking about a NetHack variant where you can play as antiroles. Their gameplay will have the following aspects:

  • Quest leaders become Antiquest nemeses.
  • Quest nemeses become Antiquest leaders.
  • Quest guardians become Antiquest menaces.
  • Quest artifacts remain the same. They now belong to Quest leaders (= Antiquest nemeses).
  • The player is gonna traverse Quest branches in the opposite way.

As such, I was wondering what the antiroles would be. My current sketch is:

  • Anti-Archeologist = Graverobber (An antithesis of an archeologist)
  • Anti-Barbarian = (no idea)
  • Anti-Caveman = Dragon Raiser (Serves Chromatic Dragon)
  • Anti-Healer = (no idea)
  • Anti-Knight = Dark Knight (Straightforward reversal)
  • Anti-Monk = Sybarite (Seeks for luxury)
  • Anti-Priest = Necromancer (Worships evil things)
  • Anti-Ranger = (no idea)
  • Anti-Rogue = Assassin (Direct reference to Master Assassin)
  • Anti-Samurai = (no idea)
  • (I'm omitting Tourist. What do you expect their antirole would be, a terrorist?)
  • Anti-Valkyrie = Flame Mage (Opposite temperature to Valkyries)
  • Anti-Wizard = Warlock (Performs dark magic)

Any suggestions to the blanks? --NDos (talk) 08:06, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
