Don't they use sonar?

I was thinking this same thing fairly recently! A tooled horn, bugle, etc. should "blind" them! Contrary to common belief, bats are not blind. Some species do not have terribly great vision, but most see just fine. Even during the day, they have rather good vision. So, they could be blinded by a flash of light. However, they should be able to use their sonar after being blind (in NetHack). Would be neat to see this implemented, and the only true way too blind a bat would be: a.) flash of light, then b.) loud noise. --User (talk) 02:23, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
