The manes, i, is a minor demon which travels in large packs. Manes are very weak and slow.

Name
The word "manes" is both singular and plural - there is no such monster as a mane. This is because the word is imported directly from Latin ("manes"), where the rules of pluralisation are different.
Strategy
It is an exceptionally unfortunate character who has trouble defeating manes; however, swarms of them can overwhelm weaker characters.
