In 3.6 there are a number of paperback novels - all by Terry Pratchett. Reading from a novel displays an excerpt from the book in question. In addition, the first time the character reads from any novel, they are given 20 xp. Subsequent novels (even novels with different titles) give no additional xp. Reading novels violates the illiterate conduct. Novels appear in bookstores.
