Eating a rotten corpse (an old corpse or a corpse of a mummy or zombie) can give you food poisoning.

Eating rotten food can cause blindness, confusion, stunning, vomiting, and sudden sleep attacks.

Roten tins have -50 nutrition, and can cause all the symptoms listed above apart from food poisonig.
