I folded all the resistances in the enlightenment table into the same "attribute" (it's hard for me to explain clearly; compare my edit to the previous and it will be obvious what I mean)It occurred to me later that maybe that's not what you intended the "attribute" field to be used for, since each resistance is an on/off propositionIf you're not digging what I did I won't be offended if you revert it, but I think it does make the table a bit easier to read.

|You may safely pray to your god. <!-- it's not as simple as a prayer timeout of zero --> Note that this can be misleading for neutral players polymorphed into undead - there is a random chance that is recalculated each time NetHack checks if it is safe to pray.

  |-

|"You can not yet safely pray."

|There is a condition which means you cannot safely pray. Typically your prayer timeout is not low enough, but all other conditions, such as whether your god is angry and whether you are in Gehennom, are checked as well.

I'm working on a VERY BIG table for this

Enumerating all possible messages and their meanings.

Didn't realise quite how many there were when i started...

--Rogerb-on-NAO 00:12, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

This has rather stalled and it seems others want to contribute, so I'm putting the work to date here. It can be put on the main page when it's completed.

--Rogerb-on-NAO 10:31, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

I have moved it to my userspace, as it seems more appropriate that a draft be done there. When it is done, I will move it to the main article. Anyone who wishes to contribute is welcome. Fredil Yupigo 02:12, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
The above-mentioned work looks valueable, and Fredil Yupigo says on his userpage people may make further edits to it. I propose to merge both pages, and am going to do so if nobody objects until including 7. Jan 2010. -Tjr 14:28, January 5, 2010 (UTC)
I have finished history merging the article from Fredil Yupigo/Enlightenment and the talk pages, and reverted to the last version before the merge template was added. Tjr 18:56, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

Content from user space talk page

This is great. I noticed that in giving descriptions of a lot of the attributes as well as their names, it duplicates a lot of the content of the excellent-at-first-glance work at Property. Is there a good way to merge the two, or at least make sure they correlate cleanly? -- Marcmagus 19:19, 29 October 2008 (UTC)

Change to resistances presentation

I folded all the resistances in the enlightenment table into the same "attribute" (it's hard for me to explain clearly; compare my edit to the previous and it will be obvious what I mean). It occurred to me later that maybe that's not what you intended the "attribute" field to be used for, since each resistance is an on/off proposition. If you're not digging what I did I won't be offended if you revert it, but I think it does make the table a bit easier to read. Thomag 17:04, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
