Well, noting's ''entirely'' useless in this game--probably the best thing that can be done with an iron chain is to add a layer of insurance to an Elbereth square. {{unsigned|68.218.36.228|16:10, 13 January 2008 (UTC)}}

I don't think it's correct to say that the fake Amulet rivals iron chains in terms of utility. Fake Amulets can be [[Polypiling|polymorphed]] into useful ones. Though it may still be good to make mention of the fake Amulet, as that has no use ''as is'' either. Comparison with the cheap plastic imitation of the Amulet of Yendor

I don't think it's correct to say that the fake Amulet rivals iron chains in terms of utility. Fake Amulets can be polymorphed into useful ones.
