I edited the page to say that sometimes lichen don't prevent eating, because I had observed such to be so. - Nearby Elbereth-respecting monsters don't interrupt you eating if you are on Elbereth. No monsters interrupts you eating if you're eating for only 1 turn. Lichens do interrupt you - I wizmoded it with 8 lichens and several huge chunks of meat. --Tjr
