I would say the best thing of that wizard lock spell is not to close doors (i made some ascension never using this spell), but if you can lay your hands on this spell early, you have a good possibility to get your skill early and fast up in matter spells very easy, so that you can (especially if you are a wizard) learn that high level polymorph spell and cast it at no or low failure rate.
