A treat is an item of food that tames a monster when you throw it at the monster. Upon witnessing a monster being tamed with a treat you will get a message saying "*Monster* devours a/an *treat*." Don't try throwing horse treats at a unicorn, the treat will hit the unicorn, the horned horse won't like it, and will become hostile.
