Hi there, and welcome to my user page! My nickname is Bluescreenofdeath, but you can call me Amy, and I'm a Nethack player (who would have thought?). My favorite variant is Slash'EM, and while I'm not a devteam member, I decided to form my own one-man devteam for a variant that I'm calling "Slash'EM Extended". Dunno whether Slash'EM's original devteam would approve of this but since it's a free software I hope they won't mind.

Now, the aim of my variant is to add even more variation to the game than Slash'EM does already, and also try to make the later parts of the game more challenging while reducing the risk of experiencing an early-game YASD. Actually I'm quite a bad player, the farthest I've ever managed to go was the Gehennom where I managed to PUNCH OUT DEMOGORGON WITH BARE HANDS OF ALL THINGS but then got killed by a tyrannosaurus while helpless, and I didn't ever beat any quest nemesis either in more than one hundred games played (but I royally got my butt kicked by Master Kaen a few times). You can watch me play Slash'EM here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cG9osWekarI (with German voice commentary since German is my native language).

Development news: Current version is v26 (April 26th, 2014), adding many new monsters, fixing some imbalances and generally overhauling the game by adding new features. Characters from previous versions aren't compatible with this one, but everyone who doesn't have a currently running character should update to this new version. --Bluescreenofdeath (talk) 14:15, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

The current version of Slash'EM Extended is available for download here: https://app.box.com/s/bjmryzddy3t7llv6jekb (current version is v26). If you're playing an old version, updating is advised. However, please don't update your game version with a character in progress; the game is very likely to consider your character incompatible with the new version, so you should finish the game with your current character first before updating.

Oh yeah, and here's my worst embarrasing YASD: http://abload.de/img/eyalsodesisjetztabernakkbr.png

Feel free to post on my user talk page!
