spam site. no https. --195.2.244.193 13:01, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

  • Person at 195.2.224.193: What are you talking about? What spam site? no https where? Why did you leave this message here? --Fjarlq (talk) 03:49, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
    • https://www.fjarlq.com/ does not work for me.
    • my work network warns me that http://www.fjarlq.com/ is a gambling site and won't let me open it. linking to a gambling site would qualify as spam, surely? --195.2.244.193 12:53, 9 February 2016 (UTC)
      • I have no idea what you're talking about. http://www.fjarlq.com/ is not a gambling site, it's my personal website (Screenshot) that merely contains a few links to my profiles on other websites, none of which are gambling related. I am a former NetHack devteam member and I have no connection with gambling whatsoever. I think your work network must be either hacked or broken. --Fjarlq (talk) 22:23, 10 February 2016 (UTC)
        • it's neither hacked nor broken. overly circumspect, perhaps. you've got yourself on a blacklist. sorry about that, it sucks. i can ask which one if you like but i doubt i'll get an answer. --195.2.244.193 13:03, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
          • Your work's blacklist sounds quite broken to me, given that it makes obviously ridiculous claims like "fjarlq.com is a gambling site". --Fjarlq (talk) 18:24, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
            • sorry to be a messenger of bad tidings. my company (mine as in i work for them at quite a low level) make no decisions, we buy them wholesale. we use this hosting company. whoever's blacklists they use, you're on them somewhere. which sucks for you. perhaps it's done by IP, and your ISP routinely hosts gambling sites. i've got no idea. you could ask them. good luck. --195.2.244.193 13:26, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
            • if it bothers you, you could try something like this. --195.2.244.193 13:29, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
              • I checked fjarlq.com using Webroot Brightcloud Threat Intelligence URL lookup and found that Webroot has misclassified fjarlq.com as "Gambling". That's obviously wrong, so I've requested a reclassification.
              • I also used other blacklist checking tools to see if fjarlq.com is on any blacklists, but it is not.
              • It was irritating to be randomly labelled "spam" by someone without any evidence or explanation cited. It would have been nicer, saved me a lot of time, and been much more helpful if you had originally asked something like, "Webroot security claims fjarlq.com is a gambling site, so I cannot view it at work. What is fjarlq.com?" --Fjarlq (talk) 15:20, 12 February 2016 (UTC)
