Mime type of the compressed XML uploads

I added a note to NetHackWiki hinting to users to use "Save Link As" because browsing the XML files leads to an XML parse error. On Firefox and Chrome this parse error causes the request to be closed before the entire file is loaded. If possible, changing the Content-Type metadata the XML files to application/octet-stream should eliminate this issue because browsers will instead prompt to save the file instead of rendering it. — Winny (talk) 14:28, 1 September 2024 (UTC)

Please refer to the discussion Forum:Download_the_NetHackWiki. TL;DR xowa seems unmaintained, admittedly downloading the XML dumps doesn't yield a one-to-one copy of the rendered wiki and never did. There has been interest in publishing the NethackWiki as a ZIM, however the REST API needed for mediawiki specific archival tools has been blackholed, and the fail2ban keeps catching the other archivist by surprise. — Winny (talk) 14:30, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
