A leocrotta is a fast, hard-hitting monster that can easily maul a low-level player. A leocrotta is an ugly mix of a stag, lion and badger, having the lion's body, badger's head and stag's legs. If you see one, use whatever means necessary to get away. These creatures are very fast and will pound your lifeless corpse into a fine mist within a few turns. If you get caught next to one in a corridor, engrave Elbereth or quit.
