The amulet of guarding is an amulet that will appear in NetHack. It always auto-identifies when worn.
Effects
Wearing an amulet of guarding provides 2 AC and augments magic cancellation by 2, similar to a ring of protection. Eating an amulet of guarding has a chance to increase intrinsic protection by 2, but does not affect magic cancellation.
Monsters can wear an amulet of guarding, but will generally replace it with an amulet of life saving or amulet of reflection if they find one.
