The amulet of guarding is an amulet that will appear in NetHack, and currently appears in xNetHack.
Description
When worn, the amulet of guarding provides 2 AC, augments magic cancellation by 2 similar to a ring of protection, and auto-identifies the amulet.
Eating an amulet of guarding has a chance to increase intrinsic protection by 2, but does not affect magic cancellation.
Monsters can wear an amulet of guarding, but will generally replace it with an amulet of life saving or amulet of reflection if they find one.
