The ape is a large animal, standing upright on hind legs, using the front legs to claw and attack. An ape may grab an unfortunate player, holding him or her to its body while it attacks, turn after turn. Luckily, the ape is not strong enough to withstand a properly prepared player, and will succumb, releasing the player, and often leaving a tasty meal.
Less fearsome than the ape is the monkey, while the carnivorous ape dwarfs both.
