A can of grease can applied to grease items made of metal. This protects them from rust and corrosion and also from grabbing attacks. A mind flayer can not attach its tentacles into a greased helmet either.
The layer of grease is not permanent and it may wear of due to an attack. Then you can choose to apply the can of grease to the item in question again.
Cursed cans will make your finger greasy. The can may be recharged using a scroll of charging. The can may also be used to untrap squeaky boards.
