A caterwaul is a new feline in SLASH'EM. It is twice as fast as an unhasted player, but is otherwise unextraordinary. Despite its name, it does not have any sort of noise-making abilities.

Strategy

Caterwauls are extremely fast and have many attacks. However, their attacks do very nonthreatening amounts of damage, and with a decent armor class they are easily managed. Elbereth can help, as usual.

Origin

Yet another Dungeons & Dragons monster. It seems to be an original creation of D&D.

It's a bipedal feline.
