A fishing pole is an item in Slash'em. It is a polearm, and thus uses this kind of skill. It can be used to fish. Applying a fishing pole on a water square may have the following effects :
- You hook yourself, dealing yourself damage
- You may "snag garbage from the water, which gives you an uncursed +0 pair of low boots
- You catch tonights dinner, a cram ration.
