Furnace

A furnace is a dungeon feature introduced in SpliceHack. It can be used with the #cook extended command to increase the nutritional value of food, and increase the chance of gaining an intrinsic.

Effects

Quaffing

Quaffing from a furnace kills you; the furnace contains lava.

Sitting

Sitting on a furnace deals fire damage to you.

Dipping

Dipping anything into a furnace has a ¹⁄₃₀ chance of blowing up the furnace. Dipping potions or scrolls into a furnace destroys them. If you #dip an item that can survive the lava damage into a furnace, such as a metallic weapon, there is a 130 chance the item becomes blessed, and a 130 chance the item becomes erodeproofed.

Forging

Type #forge or press Alt Shift F to create new or changed items while standing at a furnace.

To create a Template:Baseball bat, put in a Template:Club and a Template:Rubber hose. To create a Template:Battle axe, put in an axe and an axe. To create a Template:Heavy iron ball, put in a Template:Iron chain and a Template:Boulder. To create a Template:Long sword, put in a Template:Short sword and a Template:Short sword. To create a Template:Spiked chain, put in a Template:Iron chain and a Template:Dagger. To create a Template:Spiked chain, put in a Template:Iron chain and a Template:Knife. To create a Template:Triple flail, put in a Template:Flail and a Template:Flail.

To create a Template:Helm of telepathy, put in a Template:Amulet of esp and a Template:Helmet. To create a Template:Shield of reflection, put in a Template:Amulet of reflection and a Template:Large shield. To create a Template:Tinfoil hat, put in a Template:Dented pot and a Template:Dunce cap.

To create a Template:Ring of conflict, put in a Template:Ring of hunger and a Template:Ring of aggravate monster. To create a Template:Ring of polymorph control, put in a Template:Ring of polymorph and a Template:Ring of teleport control. To create a Template:Ring of teleport control, put in a Template:Ring of teleportation and a Template:Ring of polymorph control.
