The giant eel swings itself around you! The giant eel drowns you...
A giant eel is a one of the most feared sea monsters, well known for being one of the weakest monsters to possess the infamous two-move instadeath drowning attack.
Escaping drowning
If a giant eel wants you dead, you usually have only one turn to tell it otherwise. On this turn, you can:
- Prayer can get you out of trouble.
- Engrave Elbereth if you are on land, obviously, not on water.
- Try to kill the eel in one turn, or put it to sleep - this is risky
- Teleport it away
- Freeze the water
- Wear an amulet of magical breathing
