Linley's Dungeon Crawl, another roguelike game.
The author made slight changes to the NetHack General Public License to create the "Crawl General Public License", thus Crawl is free software. However, few users play both NetHack and Crawl, so a comparison is difficult.
They say that NetHack is more difficult than Angband, but that Crawl is more difficult than NetHack. See [1] [2].
