A meat stick is a food created by zapping a spell of stone to flesh at a marble wand. It's not a particularly useful item. Here are some things that one can do with it.
- Use it as a treat for carnivorous pets
- Keep it in your open inventory so carnivorous pets will stay closer
- Use it to keep Elbereth active
- Mark the Vibrating Square with it
- Kill Vlad the Impaler with it
- Wield it for comedic value
- Eat it (possibly the most useless of all the listed uses)
Encyclopaedia entry
Interestingly, meat stick shares its entry with the huge chunk of meat:
Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some would eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
Sae let the Lord be thankit.
