Sometimes we forget the exact punctuation of messages, so please edit this page if you need to fix them.

As for exclamation points, if someone can explain

The newt bites! You die...
Hello Dudley, welcome to NetHack!
The gnome shoots three arrows. The arrow misses the gnome. The arrow misses the dwarf. The arrow hits the gnome! The gnome is killed!
