Try editing the sandbox! Click the "edit" link at the top of the page. Then make some changes in the text box that appears. Click "Save Page". The sandbox will update with your changes.
The sandbox is a safe place to experiment with wiki. By playing in the sandbox, you can make arbitrary changes without messing an existing Wikihack page.

Redirect needs to be the only content of the page to work, but otherwise that is the correct syntax, yes.
