Searching is the process of repeatedly pressing the [s] key, usually around walls to find hidden doors. We also use it to find traps. Actually traps tend to be unexpected. However, some characters, such as elvish Rangers, can obtain automatic searching – they can sometimes discover a trap by stepping next to it.
