Playing 3.7.0 on hardfought I've received the message "You feel that monsters have difficulty pinpointing your location." after eating a displacer beast corpse. This effect only lasts a few turns but maybe it's worth noting. I'll experiment in case it's like the Invisible Stalker effect where you have to eat two corpses in order to permanently gain the intrinsic.
