Doesn't door-kicking also make noise and also wake up monsters? I dunno, but being attacked by an entire leprechaun hall can be annoying.

Presumably it's because there's no space to get leverage on the door. With a chest, you could slip a sword or similar object into the gap between the lid and the main body of the chest. This line of thought doesn't work for bashing weapons, though. Ais523 15:07, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
