:"Fooproof" is a catchall term for rustproof, fireproof, etc.; it covers all of them.  For the origin and meaning of "foo", see [http://www.catb.org/~esr/jargon/html/F/foo.html the Jargon File].--[[User:Ray Chason|Ray Chason]] 15:42, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Other metallic items

How does rust affect steel rings, steel wands and iron balls? At least rings and wands can be wished for as rustproof. It would make sense that a rusty +1 ring of increase accuracy would work as a +0 ring of increase accuracy, for example. --ZeroOne 17:26, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

As far as I know, rust has no effect on rings, wands, or iron balls. I'm not sure I agree with you about the rusty +1 ring of accuracy; a rusty +1 helm of brilliance still adds one to your int and wis, it just offers less protection due to being rusty. The magic is still wholly intact, even if what it inhabits isn't. --Eidolos 17:31, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
