New stuff?

What was changed in NetHack-- compared to vanilla NetHack? The articles about individual versions go too much into detail to provide a quick overview. Many new monsters and player character classes, maybe something else too? -ZeroOne 22:06, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

NetHack-- 3.0.10 added several new roles, but vanilla 3.1.0 added the Quests, and the author of NetHack-- 3.1.3 didn't want to fool with making so many new Quests. None of the new roles in NetHack-- 3.0.10 were carried forward, and none are now present in SLASH'EM.
Both versions added many new dungeon features, monsters, and objects, some of which are still around in SLASH'EM.
I'm debating whether to provide some kind of summary here, or perhaps trim the version writeups to read something like, "In addition to the monsters in vanilla NetHack 3.1.3, NetHack-- 3.1.3 offers these monsters" followed by the table of monsters.--Ray Chason 02:23, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
