I love the new "Bouncing rays" section, but perhaps we could change the "~" symbol with "/","\","-" and "|"?

It's just that this:

     |./..\....+
     |/....@...|
     |\........|
     -----------

Would look a little better than this: (in my humble opinion, of course)

     |.~..~....+
     |~....@...|
     |~........|
     -----------
