Ascensions
- intx13 (hum-fem-neu-val): First ascension! Made number #325 on the top 2000 list. Took me over 120000 turns. Was also my first time ever getting past the quest. Beyond those four things, not too notable.
- intx13 (hum-mal-law-sam): Second ascension! Also my first game playing as a samurai. This one went a lot smoother. Favorite quote: You kick the invisible Vlad the Impaler.--More--
You destroy the invisible Vlad the Impaler!--More-- - intx13 (hum-fem-neu-cav): Finally ascended a caveman (or in this case, cavewoman). Pretty standard game, no huge hiccups. The altar was near Famine, the first one I tried on Astral, which was lucky. Some interesting notes:
- I received Magicbane as a gift after my second sacrifice. Being able to engrave Elbereth in one turn in the early game was extremely useful.
- I fought and killed Vlad using nothing more than a carrot. Though apparently with Gauntlets of power a carrot does 9 points of damage per hit!
- I ascended with a pet woodchuck... that's what happens when you're standing on the altar with a wand of wishing!
