Allows you to learn the detect treasure spell. This spell has the same effect as a potion of object detection.[1] It is the special spell for rogues.

The spell generates the same messages as the potion.
Strategy
The spell of detect treasure should be used whenever the player has an opportunity; it is preferable to potions of object detection, as it is only limited by the amount of energy available. Since the spell is non-combat, it is usable even with a fairly high failure rate. Even better, it shares its spell school (divination) with magic mapping and identify, two other excellent spells.
