Hey guys, some new ideas:


Artifact: Gungnir, base price 3000zm

Base Item: Spear.

Alignment: neutral.

Properties:

   Grants the wielder automatic searching. +1d4 damage regardless of AC(penetration). 1/20 chance of performing a strike that prevents the target from spellcasting(including monster spell), regeneration or healing for 4 turns and does a draining attack(like stormbringer regular attack).

Any random spear on the ground has a 1/20 chance of being made into Gungnir(the only spear artifact).

A sacrifice of at least value 7 may give the player rustproof +0 Gungnir.



This is the main item I want to talk about, a probable spear artifact. I tested an implementation in nethack, but no special images...

Two other unimportant non-serious ideas:



Artifact: Whelm, base price 1000zm

Base Item: War hammer (war hammer). A heavy, brutal hammer of black adamantine.

Alignment: Chaotic.

Properties:

   +d8 damage. Deals triple damage to dwarves (h), gnomes, and earth elementals. Against stone or metal doors, it is an auto-shatter(when thrown). -3 Dexterity when wielded.
   Grants =oWarning vs. dwarves and gnomes at a range of the entire level.
   Allows you to sense all treasure piles at distance of at most 4 tiles('treasure' is anything made of gemstone or gold)

May be produced by naming any random war hammer Whelm.

Artifact: Herugrim, base price 2000zm

Base Item: Broad long sword (long sword).

   Alignment: Lawful. Embodies the defense of hearth and horse-land.
   Properties:
       +3 to-hit and +3 damage. Deals +1d12 bonus damage to any monster currently holding gold or gems (representing defending home/treasure from thieves).
       Grants warning when wielded.
       Weapon Resistance: Grants poison resistance (=oPR). The wielder gain +2 to AC.
   Special Ability: #ride checks are made with +5 bonus while carrying Herugrim. It allows you to #mount any peaceful horse you encounter automatically. Pacifies horses around you automatically.

If trying to engrave Elbereth using this sword, it resists.

Require sacrifice gift of at least value 6 to gain +0 rustproof Herugrim. Randomly generated long swords on the ground have 1/20 chance of being made into artifact, which would have 1/7 chance of any artifact long sword, including herugrim.
