In NetHack, a runed broadsword can be the unidentified appearance of one of the following items:
A runed broadsword is most likely to be an elven broadsword, since ordinary runeswords are typically not seen outside of bones level containing Stormbringer that are encountered by a hero that has already generated the artifact. Both weapons also use different colors and tiles.
