Spider

A spider is represented by the symbol s and can be:

• s cave spider
• s giant spider
  • These monsters are not technically spiders, but share the "s" symbol.
    • s centipede
    • s scorpion
    • s Scorpius the Ranger quest nemesis

If a monster of this class is created during the initial level generation process, NetHack will generate a random item for it to hide under (though giant spiders are actually unable to hide).
