Same notes about slashem specific: article title + article should say so –Tjr 14:45, January 22, 2010 (UTC)
Good lord, Vlad needs +3 to hit?! How is an illiterate player expected to get the Candelabrum? --Darth l33t 02:20, January 23, 2010 (UTC)
- A pet dragon or Vorpal Jabberwock can hit for +3. I imagine that getting such a pet while illiterate (no spell or scroll) would be a pain though, doubly so with Vlad's leveldrain. -- Qazmlpok 04:31, January 23, 2010 (UTC)
- You'd only need to enchant an artifact weapon to +1. If you're lucky, you might find a weapon shop with a shopkeeper who offers the enchant weapon service; that can get any weapon up to +3. If you're neutral or a wizard, Magicbane always hits as a +4 weapon (so that you don't have to enchant it highly and ruin its special attacks, I imagine). Also, there's still the option of wands (particularly with wands of fireball, new to SLASH'EM), and also hitting him with a silver weapon (which will still work even at +0) or a silver ring/wand/shield. Also it's not unheard of to find +3 weapons randomly generated, although admittedly somewhat rare. -Ion frigate 06:02, January 23, 2010 (UTC)
On the subject of renaming the articles, I think a better title would be something like the lines of "Monsters with enchantment resistance" (which is misleading, but I think on the right track). "Need +x weapon to hit" just sounds really awkward to me. -- Qazmlpok 04:31, January 23, 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah I realized it sounded awkward. Enchantment resistance is something of a neologism I coined though, so I figured it would be best to name it what the documentation in the source code says. If people are cool with calling it enchantment resistance though, I could go ahead and move the page. I still don't know what to call the page of monsters with "Hits creatures as a +x weapon" though. -Ion frigate 06:02, January 23, 2010 (UTC)
