Talk:Scroll of stinking cloud
I'd like to add pictures showing the actual shapes of the three possible stinking clouds. I would do that by creating a new template, similar to the ones used to draw circles of various radii; the new template would use the taxicab/Manhattan/L_1 distance instead of the Euclidean distance. Is that a good idea? --Erica 06:47, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- Excellent idea. I took the liberty to do it. :-) Tjr 15:57, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you! The picture looks great! --Erica 02:48, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation request on damage done.
The damage table is appreciated, but I'm not certain that I'm reading it right. If I'm reading it right, the damage done by a blessed scroll is between 6 and 17 hit points, per turn, for 4 - 6 turns, then a reduced range with damage from 6 - 11 hp per turn for 2 turns, then another reduction in range, with 6 - 8 hit points of damage done for an another 2 turns. So a monster that is not poison-resistant who is at or adjacent to the epicenter of a blessed stinking cloud will take damage from the cloud from 48 HP at the minimum to 140 HP at the maximum.
Note - playtesting shows that the greater damage seems to get done - 140 min damage, not the 18 to 36 points that could be inferred. ——Emdoub (talk) 07:22, 30 September 2019 (UTC)——Emdoub (talk) 07:22, 30 September 2019 (UTC)
