I started (and then continued to do too much of) playing Nethack about 1987 at Warwick University. From time to time I get sucked back into playing.

TBH, I probably got more enjoyment from poking through the code, and it was probably one of my early influences in software development and reverse engineering, not to mention skewed program messages, documentation and behaviour. However, I've never knowingly met any of the DevTeam.

My wikihack username is unrelated to the name of the game; it's been an online moniker and domain name of mine for many years.
