Note: Monks usually transition into spellcasting due to their weak close combat options.

Note 2: Martial arts in NetHack rolls a d4, and you do NOT get the skill damage bonus if you roll a 1. In DynaHack no such exception applies.

Note 3: The "no skill bonus for 1 damage" applies to ALL weapons if they roll a 1, but this can only happen if the weapon itself is +0 or lower and inflicts no artifact.
