The main threat presented by bebeliths is their armor-disenchanting shred attack. If a piece of armor is disenchanted to such a degree that it it's net AC bonus is 0, the next shred attack which hits that armor piece will destroy it. Artifacts are immune to destruction by bebelith shred attacks, but not disenchantment.
Bebeliths follow the same movement rules as grid bugs. Players can therefore use positioning to kill them without taking a hit.
