Blindness

Blindness is an inability to see. Normally, blindness is temporary, and you can wait for it heal, or if you know how, you can cure blindness.

Sources of blindness include a potion of blindness, an attack by a yellow light or raven, an adverse effect from reading a scrollbook, eating rotten food, getting hit by a cream pie, or wearing a blindfold or towel.

Keystone Kops will throw cream pies at you, and you might throw some at monsters. The easy way to see again is to use the #wipe command, so do not waste a spell of cure blindess in that case. In contrast, #wipe is useless when a raven pokes out your eyes.

When you are blind, you cannot tell a monster's peaceful status which may lead to inadvertently killing a pet or peaceful.

Intrinsic telepathy is only active when you are blind.
